Accommodations for Disabilities
Students seeking accommodation for disabilities are directed to our Dean of Educational Support Services, Dr. Kay Tronsen. Before accommodation can be determined, students must submit professional documentation. Reasonable accommodation is individually determined and based on the functional impact of the condition and its likely interaction with the university environment.
Student Activities
Students at Great Northern University have opportunities to collaborate with Student Life staff by suggesting, planning, and implementing events that are of interest to students. In the past few years, students have led and participated in the following GNU activities: a 30's-era dance, campfires, Smash Bros video game championship, prayer events, hikes, swimming/paddling days in local rivers and lakes, worship nights, talent shows, Old Time Bingo Night, Study & Snacks nights, clothing swaps, apple/pumpkin/strawberry picking at nearby Greenbluff Farms, Christmas tree cutting, disc golf, and more.
In addition, students lead in regularly scheduled events through service on the audio/visual/tech team, student worship team, “Pancake Wednesdays” (all-you-can-eat pancakes with fellow students), and speaking at “Crock Pot Talk” presentation events.
